(AU) When Carol and her teenage daughter move to a new town they have a small window of freedom that they take advantage of. Carol finds herself having a one night stand with a stranger that spirals out of control and throws her and Sophia both headlong into a dangerous world that neither even knew existed.
Inspired by all of the McReedus feels from the TWD cast's Conan appearance back in February, a creative imagining of what happened behind the scenes and afterwards.
This is a very AU story that takes place with no apocalypse. Daryl moves to the small town of Sweet Junction with his brother in an attempt to start fresh, when he gets there, though, he never expects the turn that his life is going to take. Many characters from the show as well as OCs. It will eventually have Caryl as the primary relationship. Merle/Andrea as well.

AU Caryl fic. When broken people encounter each other, is it possible for them to glue the pieces back together? This is very AU. Carol, Daryl, and Sophia are all broken people who live in very different worlds, but when those worlds unexpectedly collide, can they find healing in themselves through healing each other? Carol Daryl Sophia, other characters may play in later.
Aaron's arrival and offer of safety brought about changes, but none so much as for the two already damaged survivors who first met when the world all fell apart, Carol Pelletier and Daryl Dixon. Will these changes draw them closer together or will they drift apart as they navigate new lives and responsibilities in the ASZ?
On one of the coldest nights on record Daryl Dixon stops for a stranded motorist. She's leery, of course, but finally agrees to let him give her a lift home. That one kind gesture on his part, and one act of rebellion on hers, starts the domino affect that changes them both. (Caryl AU no ZA) Unapologetic fluff ensues. You have been warned. After Grady the group moves on. No one is sure where they are going or what they will find when they get there but it turns into one hell of a journey. Revelations lead to rivalry within the group and when another tragedy strikes they have to find a way to pick up the pieces and keep going. That's easier said than done for some.
